The RATTLESNAKE store is located right next to Vienna's most vibrant shopping street, Mariahilfer Straße, in the 7th district. We offer an extensive range of officially licensed merchandise from Punk & Metal Bands such as AC/DC, Bauhaus, Cannibal Corpse, The Cure, Deftones, Ghost, Green Day, Joy Division, Korn, Led Zeppelin, Motley Crue, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, The Ramones, Rage Against The Machine, Slayer, Slipknot, Type O Negative and many more. In addition to band merch, we also sell a good selection of Alternative Goth and Dark Fashion, Studded Neck- and Wristbands, Belts, and more Accessories, as well as Signed Memorabilia. And - you can also get a Tattoo and Piercing in our in-house Studio.
IT WAS 1989 ...
During a trip to London in 1989, Beate, the founder of RATTLESNAKE, returned with three large bags filled with cool band shirts, interesting fashion items from the Punk and Goth scenes, and various studded accessories. She sourced these items from shops at Kensington Market, Carnaby Street, and Camden Market. Soon after she opened RATTLESNAKE in a small location in Vienna's 8th district. The RATTLESNAKE shop quickly gained a reputation as the go-to store for punk, underground, and metal merchandise. In 2001, the shop relocated to its current address at Kirchengasse 3 in Vienna's 7th District where Beate's husband Declan moved in with his tattoo and piercing studio.

The couple interviewed prominent musicians such as Slash, Henry Rollins, Billy Idol, Steve Vai, members of Van Halen, Kiss, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many others for the films. Both movies won several awards at international film festivals, including The Indie/Independent Oscar.

COLLABORATION
LOCOMÖTIVE X RATTLESNAKE
Since their youth, the boys of the Austrian rock band LOCOMÖTIVE have found everything they missed in the everyday world at the RATTLESNAKE shop. As a gesture of gratitude, the band composed a song as a love letter for RATTLESNAKE, and designed a collaborative T-shirt, along with a video filmed in the RATTLESNAKE store.
